Rolawn, Britain's finest topsoil Blended loam is a blend of screened loam and a peat free soil conditioner, making it rich in organic matter and ideal for laying turf onto. Screened loam is a fine sandy loam made from prime arable soils and conditioned for up to a year, used for levelling and general planting schemes. Very easy to work with. £75-00 per ton delivered.

We are suppliers of Spearhead turf, which is of excellent quality and resilience. When ordering your turf please give the dimensions, so we can calculate how many square metre's will be needed. Very useful for irregular shaped areas! Cost is £3-25 per sq mtr. Please allow three days for delivery.

Area to be turfed should be cultivated to a depth of six" or 15cm. to aerate and minimise compaction. If soil is heavy use Rolawn top soil to a depth of 10cm to improve drainage. Remove any stones and then rake over to get a level surface. The area then needs to be firmed by rolling or treading to make a firm base to lay the turf on. Then apply a light dressing of fertilizer (low in nitrogen).

IMPORTANT. in dry conditions water the ground well, before laying the turf. This encourages good root growth. Now you can lay your turf ! Ask for a leaflet on turf laying.
